Additional information on data protection

The Organizers may collect the following data:

  • Contact information (Name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, etc.).
  • Location.
  • IP address.
  • Date and time of access.
  • Browser, language settings, version of browser software operating system and surface.
  • Participation data (interventions in workshops, messages and connections in the networking area, questions to the speakers, etc.)

The Organizers may use the information for the following purposes:

  • Event registration and participation.
  • Commercial use.
  • To communicate news and promotions about our services (including newsletters), as well as to provide, improve, test and monitor the effectiveness of our service.
  • Monitor performance indicators and enhance the functioning of the site.
  • Respond to queries that may arise prior to, during or after the event.
  • For any other purpose indicated to you at the time you provide the information.

Our legal basis for collecting and using your personal data will depend on the personal data concerned and the specific context in which we collect it.

The Organizers are jointly responsible for the processing of personally identifiable information, meaning they will jointly decide the purposes for which data is processed. 

The Organizers will not transfer your personal data to third parties, except in those situations where a service has been outsourced for the normal operation of the companies and/or the website.

As an exception to the above, the Organizers have outsourced the following services:

  • Evenito (Event Management tool)
  • Active Campaign
  • Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (Analytics/marketing purposes)

Disclosure to authorities: when obliged by applicable law or regulation, or by a competent court or authority, the Organizers  may need to disclose personal information necessary or desirable to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. 

You have various rights in relation to your personal information. In particular, you have the right to:

  • Obtain confirmation that we are processing your personal information and request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Obtain a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
  • Ask that we update the personal information we hold about you, or correct such personal information that you think is incorrect or incomplete

Unfortunately, no organisation can guarantee the absolute security of information, especially information transmitted over the internet. The UP! Privacy event website uses cookies to optimise and personalise your browsing experience. The information collected through cookies serves to facilitate the user’s navigation of the portal and to optimise the browsing experience.
